Ryan Jacob Jones, Jr. was born on July 25 to Carrie Jones, a flight attendant, and Ryan Jacob Jones, Sr., a loyal, wealthy businessman working for Z-Tech. Carrie and Ryan Jacob, Sr., were very surprised when the found out that they were having twins, one boy and one girl. The boy was named Ryan Jacob Jones, Jr., and the girl was named Rachel Penelope Jones. Carrie and Ryan were both shocked when they found out that they were identical twin sisters. Ryan was born 3 minutes before Rachel was. Carrie and Ryan Sr. decided to keep her name as Ryan even though they found out that she was a girl. Ryan showed off extreme intelligence at a young age. She took an extreme liking to history and the events of the world. By first grade, she was reading on a high school level. In second grade, she could name every historical event that had ever happened. Many people called her a child genius because of how much she knew. Ryan was wanted at many different schools and she even wrote some books on her historical theories. Ryan says that she is a huge "fangirl" of everything fantasy, fiction, and science fiction. She writes a lot of Fan Fiction and she often obsesses and "fangirls" whenever she sees something related to her "fandoms." Her twin sister, Rachel, often calls this annoying, even though they are best friends. Rachel and Ryan are polar opposite twins: Ryan is a nerdy tomboy and Rachel is a girly socialite. Their father, who is also Zoltan Grundy's best friend, decided that they should audition for their talents: Ryan's historic knowledge and Rachel's skills as a socialite. They both were instantly accepted, where they now love expressing their talents at the Z-Tech Prodigy School.
Ryan and Rachel grew up as the center of attention in their family. They looked so identical, people could never tell them apart. They loved to "trade places" and pretend to be each other to find out what it would be like as a day in each other's lives. They were often described to have no physical differences, and they could be very convincing when they traded places. Ryan loved Rachel as a best friend as well as a twin sister, and they were often inseperable.
